Yellowknife - The capital of the Northwest Territories, Yellowknife is situated towards the south of the state on a peninsula by the Great Slave Lake. This thriving city is easily the most important in the province at the centre of economic and political life of the region. Yellowknife is not only a crucial gateway to the rest of the province but also well worth spending some time in.
Norman Wells - The small town of Norman Wells has had a past built on the Gold and Oil that was mined from here during much of the last century. Norman Wells boasts some interesting historical sights and attractions and the surrounding areas are amongst the most beautiful in the country.
Inuvik - Inuvik is the furthest you can drive north in North America on a highway. It is a unique place which was built half way through the last century as an administrative centre and it has a blend of different cultures and religions. Inuvik has some excellent landmarks with the Igloo Church being the most impressive of these.
Nahanni National Park - This incredible natural landscape is one of the most beautiful areas in all of North America. The Nahanni National Park offers opportunities for an array of activities including canoeing and hiking.
