New Zealand Overview |
| Split across two main islands, New Zealand is a country of outstanding natural beauty with a range of magnificent terrains. From the volcanic north island to the stunning mountains including Mount Cook on the south island, it is fair to say that New Zealand is one of the most naturally stunning countries in the world. |

New Zealand Essentials |
Wellington – Found on the southernmost point of the North Island, Wellington is the capital of New Zealand. The city sometimes experiences terrible weather, but don’t let that put you off because Wellington is a great place to visit. Art and food are sensational throughout the city, and there are also some excellent attractions, such as the modernist beehive parliamentary building.
Auckland – Situated on the north-western coastline of the North Island, Auckland is New Zealand’s largest and most populated city. There is certainly an international feel to Auckland which gives it a very cosmopolitan feel. A short drive beyond the city and you are sure to find some excellent beaches and coves along the northern headland.
Christchurch – Christchurch is the capital of the Canterbury region and the largest and most attractive city on the South Island. Christchurch has a great blend of cultures and influences, and this is obvious when spending time in the city. Arguably the best nightlife and most vibrant café and restaurant scene in New Zealand can be found in Christchurch.
Northland – This is an area of great importance for Maori and Pakeha culture. There are many interesting museums here, and some incredible countryside can be found.
Queenstown - Famous for bungee jumping and extreme sports, Queenstown is the place to visit in New Zealand if you’re after an adrenaline rush. |

New Zealand Calendar - Pick of the Year's Events |
