Las Vegas - Las Vegas is without doubt the most flamboyant, novel and unique city in the world. Located in South Nevada the City did not exist until 100 years ago and now attracts over thirty five million tourists every year. The city is split into two areas, a downtown area known as 'Glitter Gulch' and 'The Strip', both of these areas are packed to the rafters with the casinos and hotels which make Las Vegas what it is.
Reno- Situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, Reno is like a smaller version of Las Vegas. Gambling is the main industry in the city and it is full of casino's, neon lights and glitz.
Valley of Fire - Found north-east of Las Vegas the Valley of Fire offers magnificent desert landscapes which are well worth the visit.
Carson City - Carson is the state capital of Nevada. On top of the obligatory casinos, the city also features some excellent architecture and museums. |

World Series of Poker (April - May) - With a purse of over two million pounds this is the richest and most prominent gambling tournament in the world. Taking place every year since 1949 in Las Vegas' Benny Binnion's Horseshoe casino it now attracts over 4000 players despite its £1000 entry fee. |
