| Mount Etna was the great attraction and the scenery is great. Palermo was a lovely city to visit, we enjoyed the many museums, markets and the nice cafes. Sicily is a wonderful place and sometimes I thouhgt we were in Greece! |

Palermo is a magnificent place to visit with many attractions including incredible baroque architecture and top class museums. The city also has a vibrant atmosphere which is encapsulated by the many cafes, restaurants and lively markets. |

Lo Spasimo - A sumptuous and romantic ruin, Lo Spasimo is situated in the capital Palermo. The ruin has a rich history and displays, plays and other entertainment are on offer at different times of the year.
Montreale Cathedral - Within this cathedral are some of the most fantastic mosaics in the world. The roman building was built in 1172 and is a superb structure inside and out. The cathedral is also home to an interesting museum.
Museo Internazionale delle Marionette - The international puppet museum is a wonderful place to visit. Puppets are on show from across the world and make for an interesting and enjoyable experience.
Botanical Garden - One of the most important botanical gardens in Europe is located in Palermo. Laid out in 1789 along the western edge of Villa Giulia the garden has some of the most beautiful and rare plant species found anywhere.
Mount Etna - This beautiful and mysterious volcano is a spectacular site and a great place to see. A must if you visit the island, but be warned it recently erupted. |
