| The island is beautiful and the small white houses on the top of the cliffs will steal your heart immediately. Although the popular beach towns of Perissa and Kamari are reasonably close together, there is a mountain between them and they are not directly connected by a road. Consequently, you have to drive all the way around the mountain, which is a very long, but an absolutely fabulous trip! |
Santorini Overview |
| Visions of the lost city of Atlantis, earth shattering volcanoes, and Minoan civilisations are brought to mind at the mention of Santorini. Present day Santorini has bright white villages clustered on the hills above black sand beaches, terraces built into the volcanic cliffs with views over the island and Aegean sunsets over golden waters. |
