| Rules are very important here, Kids 10 years and younger are not allowed in the front of the car. speed limits are to be obayed at all times as there is a zero tolerance attitude here. What ever you do.....DO NOT drink and drive here, you may find yourself in prison. |

Situated on the beautiful Côte d'Azur on the southern coast of France, Nice is France's fifth largest city. With excellent nightlife, beaches lined with palm trees and a plenty of museums to keep the culture vultures happy, Nice should be at the top of anyone's intinerary to France.
Nice's hinterland is just as appealing, the glamorous resorts of Monaco and Cannes are just a short drive away along with some of Provenance's most beautiful rural villages. Thanks to a good temperate climate all year round, Nice has became one of France's favourite retreats. |

The Old Town - An eclectic mix of winding streets and lively squares showcasing Provencal, medieval and baroque architecture, vieux Nice is an great place to get lost. Above Nice's old town tower the Le Chateau, a 92m hill which provides excellent an incredible view of the old town and Nice's bay.
Promenade des Anglais - Built in 1820 by the Englishman, Lewis Way, a walk down this beautiful beachfront promenade complete with Palm Trees and Art Deco Hotels facing the coast is the perfect introduction to Nice's seaside.
Cimiez - Northern suburb of Nice is undoubtedly home to the richer portion of Nice's population. Beyond the decorative villas and boutique cafes and shops, the remains of a Roman bath and small amphitheatre are certainly worth visiting. Ciminez's Musée d'Archéologie is also worth visiting to learn about Nice's ancinet history.
Musée Matisse - Impressive art musuem housing works from throughout Matisse's career. Matisse was originally attracted to Nice for its fine weather. The Musée Matisse can be found at Cimiez, a suburb just north of Nice.
Musée d'Art et d'Art Contemporain - An architectural attraction in its own right, Nice's museum of modern art, opened in 1990, specialises in European and American avant-garde works from the 1960's onwards. Notable pieces include a gallery devoted to Yve Klein who was born in Nice. |

Nice Calendar - Pick of the Year's Events |
Nice Carnival- February every year, the Nice Carnival celebrates Mardi Gras in style with colourful floats ad masked parades.
Nice Jazz Festival - July, a must for music fans. Held in the the serene surroundings of an old olive grove in Cimiez. July also sees the Nuits Musicales de Nice - a three week long open air festival of classical music.
