Marseille Overview |
The second most populated city in France is located on the South coast of France. Marseille has had a history of prosper, ransack and revolution similar to that of Paris. However, in contrast to Paris, which has recovered to become one of the worlds leading cosmopolitan cities, Marseille is now somewhat ugly and grim in appearance. But even the masses of 1960’s housing estates cannot prevent Marseille being a great place to visit.
The people of this port city are generous, welcoming and fun. While Marseille may not have the great tourist attractions of Paris it has a good offering of varied museums and can boast amazing eateries, especially if you like seafood. |
