Den Gamle By - The top attraction in Aarhus is this open air museum which recreates the experience of life in an old provincial Danish town.
Aarhus Domkirke - The largest church in Denmark, this spectacular building dates back to the 12th century and has much of interest including a fabulous collection of paintings, many of which are from the 15th century.
Moesgard Museum - This excellent museum has many superb exhibitions. There are collections from the Iron and Bronze ages and also a reconstructed prehistoric landscape.
Legoland - One of Denmark's most famous exports is Lego, and this theme park is treat for lovers of the Danish classic toy. Some of the models of world famous landmarks, such as the Statue of Liberty, are sensational. Legoland is only a short drive from Aarhus. |
